Battery-Electric Tandem Rollers in the Compact Class

Hamm presents a range of entirely battery-electric tandem rollers in the HD CompactLine series.

The rechargeable battery of the new rollers provides sufficient power for a typical working day.

With eight electric rollers in the compact class, Hamm sets a new milestone on the compaction market. The HD 10e model (drum width: 1.00 m, operating weight: 2.5 t) and the HD 12e model (drum width: 1.20 m, operating weight: 2.7 t) deliver the same compaction power as their combustion engine counterparts, but are completely emission-free.

Low-Voltage System Delivers Energy for a Whole Day

A single Li-ion battery with a capacity of 23.4 kWh provides the energy for the travel, steering, and vibration or oscillation drives via a 48 V low-voltage system. The battery can be recharged in around 4 hours (400 V) or around 7.5 hours (230 V) and provides sufficient power for a typical working day. The vibration or oscillation unit is driven by specially designed synchronous electric motors, while the electric travel and steering motors provide the necessary power to a hydraulic system. The components are all monitored and controlled by the HAMMTRONIC machine management system. The e-rollers are also equipped with energy-saving functions such as automatic electric motor stop and ECO-Mode The electrical components of the e-rollers are completely maintenance-free and the extensive electrification reduces the oil volume by more than 70 percent.
