It is the start of the year, a time when people traditionally make resolutions about what they want to change: to exercise more, to finally write that book, to spend more time with friends and family. Here at International Construction we are also embarking on a change of our own and are increasing our focus on digital content.
Cards on the table: I love magazines. My journalism course was in magazine journalism and I love putting together every issue. I attended my course coming up to 15 years ago now, but even then we spoke about digital content – in the time that has passed the importance of online news, podcasts, newsletters and videos has increased every year. Here at KHL we’ve made the decision that it is time we embraced digital content more fully and, in order to give us the time to do this, we are going to be producing six issues of the magazine a year. You can expect to see more video interviews, podcasts, news stories and exclusive longer reads on www.international-construction.com in 2023 than ever before.
Another exciting change is that three times a year we’ll be incorporating Demolition and Recycling into the magazine. This is the leading publication for the demolition and recycling industry and its editor, Steve Ducker, is an extremely well-respected figure in the industry. We are very happy to have them with us.
There’s lots of change but some things remain the same – we are still going to be bringing you the best mix of content from the global construction industry. This issue features exclusive interviews with Bauer Maschinen CEO, Dr. Ruediger Kaub, and Trimble’s CEO, Rob Painter, an article examining why there are so many acquisitions in construction at the moment, features on high rise construction, diesel engines, India, and drones and surveying. Oh, and our six-page ConExpo show guide. It is another busy issue; some things never change.
