TEXAS LEADS THE CHARGE IN CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION

Texas, with its increasing population and expansive infrastructure needs, stands at the forefront of leveraging construction technology to meet its growing demands.

As one of the largest and fastest-growing states in the US, Texas relies heavily on innovative construction methods and technologies to address its infrastructure challenges.

From the construction of highways and bridges to the development of commercial and residential properties, advanced techniques such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), prefabrication, and dronebased surveying have become integral to streamlining projects and optimising resources.

Texas serves as a hub for construction technology innovation, with numerous startups and established companies driving advancements in areas like robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainable building practices.

The AT&T Hotel & Conference Center is located close to the University of Texas campus and downtown Austin. The property is just 20km from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Among the anticipated highlights are two roundtable discussions, each addressing key topics at the forefront of technological advancement in construction.

In one of these sessions, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Vice President of the Construction and Utility Sector, John Somers, will host a roundtable where industry leaders will gather to emphasise the critical importance of harnessing jobsite data. They will discuss the need for a heightened focus on collecting, analysing, and utilising real-time data to drive informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency across construction projects.

In addition to this, another roundtable session hosted by Construction Europe editor Mike Hayes will centre on Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its transformative role. Industry experts will convene to explore how digital technologies are reshaping the design, construction, and management of built assets. IC
